ABOUT LAD

I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and creativity has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. From art camps and classes starting at age five, art became my outlet, especially during some of the most challenging times in my life.

I earned my BA in Studio Art and Art History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a concentration in painting and graphic design. During my undergraduate years, I interned at Acme Art Studios in downtown Wilmington, which sparked my passion for collaborating with small, local businesses in creative ways.

After graduation, I joined The Children’s Museum of Wilmington as Marketing Coordinator while pursuing my MA in Integrated Marketing and Communications. In 2022, I took the leap to turn my freelance work into a full-time business—founding Longshore Art + Design LLC—and left my 9-to-5 to pursue my creative career full time.

Today, I’m an artist, muralist, graphic designer, social media manager, and creative consultant. I collaborate regularly with local businesses, artists, and other creatives, and I’m always looking for new ways to connect, create, and bring ideas to life within the community. My work spans murals, branding, marketing, and community activations—all rooted in storytelling and connection.
